Job Description

The Trade Compliance Governance, Sr. Analyst will manage the identification and implementation of duty mitigation strategies for the company consisting of duty drawback, utilization of Free Trade Agreements (“FTA”), First Sale for Export and other opportunities. They will also be a resource for data gathering and analysis for the Trade Compliance function.

Job Duties

* Identify and implement duty mitigation strategies with diverse departments and businesses within Olympus,


* Support compliant implementation with documented program materials including Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Rulings, etc.


* Optimize use of special trade programs,


* Serve as in-house expert for all FTA and special trade program inquiries,


* Interface with diverse functions and business units in the course of implementing duty mitigation strategies,


* Assist with the coordination of duty minimization strategies with Olympus Group Companies outside the Region,


* Analyze import, export, and trade data to identify opportunities and recognize potential inconsistencies or non-compliant activities.


* Analyze data related to import / export activities within the company’s ERP systems,


* Manage ACE and AES data reporting to support projects, tariff impact analysis and compliance testing,


* Determine product eligibility under the USMCA, KORUS and other FTAs. Manage the certification, recordkeeping and monitoring to support eligibility working closely with our manufacturing sites, and Manage other projects as needed.

Job Requirements



* College Degree required.


* Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience working within a trade compliance role.


* Experience working in a manufacturing setting required. 


* Experience qualifying items for Free Trade Agreements required. 


* Travel 30%




* A Customs Broker License a plus.


* Must have data analytical and critical thinking skills and be detailed oriented.


* Excellent research, writing and effective verbal communication skills.


* Ability to work effectively with Global team members.


* Skilled in Microsoft office, especially excel.


* Advanced Knowledge of CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (“ACE”).


* Must have experience with the USMCA and other Free Trade Agreements, Duty Drawback, First Sale for Export and other duty minimization programs.
