Job Description

The Application Consultant is the specialist in the application(s) within their assigned domain and has both a robust understanding of business process and of technical detail. The role is responsible for the application(s) in their assigned domain, including requirements capture, technical solution options analysis, application configuration and technical support provision. The Application Consultant works closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Delivery Managers and third-party vendors.

Job Duties

* Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements to identify solution options and translate them into technical design

 

* Contribute to the application configuration as a specialist in the assigned domain.

 

* Provide delivery support for the implementation of applications for the assigned domain including support to software testing before go-live. Ensure adherence to organizational standards by closely involving Quality Assurance colleagues before final software delivery.

 

* Provide troubleshooting support, actively pursue issue resolution.

 

* Create and maintain relevant documentation, such as workflow diagrams and use cases.

 

* Provide support to stakeholders in form of training, guidance and consult on options or alternative solutions.

 

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement aligned with the stakeholders needs.

 

* Share application insight with stakeholders, prepare recommendations and action plans based on current application usage, technology trends and best practices, to drive successful outcomes.

 

* Develop the business case and budget for the assigned application, including enhancement and efficiency improvements.

 

* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver application-related projects, provide technical support and gather business requirements, translating them into application solutions.

 

* Actively gather and manage stakeholder feedback to generate a constant learning process.

 

* Other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent and related experience preferred).

 

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Application Consultant or in a similar role.

 

* Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of complex structures and applications. 

 

* Experience in the development and the customization of applications.

 

* Specialized experience in working with the related domain.

 

* Apriso experience required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Experience in the Medical industry, either in a Consulting Company or directly in a Life Science Healthcare Company preferred.

 

* Demonstrable technical skills.

 

* Demonstrable business and tech acumen.

 

** The anticipated compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
