Job Description

Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) distributes a wide range of medical and surgical devices used to diagnose and treat diseases. Professional Education educates health care providers on the safe and effective on label use of those products. 


This position will be instrumental in the transformation of HCP education and training from the traditional in person model to a blended learning approach incorporating virtual learning tools and new technologies to meet learning objectives while increasing accessibility to training. 

Job Duties

* Maintain responsibility for the oversight and utilization of the Professional Education OCA Learning Management System.

* Standardize and monitor the process for regional regulatory review of virtual educational content. 

* Collaborate with regional and global Professional Education colleagues to develop and implement innovative tools, new technologies, to deliver virtual education.

* Manage the needs, development, revisions, and deployment of regional Professional Education virtual educational programs and online educational content. 

* Develop and monitor Internal and external best practices for delivering best in class virtual education.

* Perform analysis and reporting on website analytics.  

* General project management responsibilities for Prof Ed projects as assigned.

* Provide monthly reporting on program metrics and KPIs.

* Effectively manage LMS Admin and General Reporting Specialists that are responsible for administration of LMS and general reporting requirements.

Job Requirements


* Bachelor’s degree, and 5 years of combined experience providing leadership in marketing, training, learning management or operational department roles is required. 


* Minimum 2 years experience in professional education or virtual learning management.


* Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.


* Minimum 1 year of experience as a people leader.


* Minimum 1 year of project management experience.


* Ability to travel 15% of the time.



* Familiar with Instructional Design Principles.


* Project Management.


* Process development and efficiency methodologies.


* Must be proficient with Learning Management platforms and other educational tools.


* Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and other popular software programs as they relate to job requirements.


* Excellent prioritization, organizational and planning skills.
