Job Description

The People Analytics Analyst II will deliver insights that help guide business decisions and support go-forward strategies. The Analyst II will work on projects that range from HR data analysis and data visualization/dashboarding creation to data audits and process automations.  The Analyst II will enjoy figuring out how to automate solutions in applications such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and SAP SuccessFactors.  The Analyst II will conduct quantitative analysis to make recommendations to leadership teams.  

This role will be a member of the Human Resources team at Olympus, partnering with Olympus HR colleagues to improve processes and turn data into actional insights that our internal customers can use to make better decisions. 

Job Duties

  • Work cross functionally within HR, as well as with members of the regional and global Workforce Analytics teams, to deliver insights that help guide business decisions and support go-forward strategies.  
  • Support and maintain HR reporting, including scheduled reporting and operational regulatory-related reports such as the annual EEO-1, Veterans, and Affirmative Action reports.
  • Engage with project sponsors and stakeholders to understand each business initiative.  Probe for hidden questions and goals. Bring structure to each request and translate requirements into an analytic approach.
  • Design and build reports and dashboards to deliver insight to HR team and business leaders.
  • Communicate insights and results to key stakeholders in order to support informed business decisions by providing in depth analysis and recommendations.
  • Educate users regarding the functional use of analyses, reports and other tools.   
  • Report on key metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Build automated solutions in business intelligence tools such as Power BI that provide creative and insightful views of data.
  • Understand relationships between front end applications and data repositories.  Ensure quality of the source information/data that is relied upon by management in their decision making.
  • Conduct regular quality control activities to ensure accurate data and processes, ensure data integrity for all HR processes and programs, and develop and promote data integrity through audit processes and resolution of data discrepancies. 
  • Create increased efficiencies through building automated solutions and process workflows to streamline manual HR processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources or related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, process automation, or human resources is required with an associate or bachelor’s Degree:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data analytics, process automation or human resources is required with a master’s degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Access) is required.
  • Experience with cleaning and analyzing complex data and presenting to leadership/key stakeholders required.
  • Report development experience in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is ideal.
  • Experience with Python or R preferred.

  • Self-directed individual with ability to multi-task on concurrent projects.
  • Ability to convert analytical findings to business outcomes so that they are clear and concise to any audience.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with a high degree of professionalism.
