Job Description
As part of the Payroll Team this position is responsible for processing the organization's payroll for 3500+ employees including exempt non- exempt employees on a bi-weekly basis in a multi- company multi-state environment while maintaining accurate payroll and attendance records.
Job Duties
* Process employee compensation, benefits and deductions.
* Review and validate all employee changes in Success Factors and ADP. Provide information for employment and salary verification.
* Must be able to balance payroll totals to ADP and retain all related documentation. Review and enter/import payroll data along with data from the current HR and attendance systems for processing in ADP Vantage or the current payroll application.
* Process bi-weekly payroll for Tokyo Inpats.
* Setup, process and maintain changes to employee's earnings taxes, garnishments and voluntary deductions.
* Process attendance for all staff utilizing the current attendance systems. Provide instruction and support for all attendance contacts and managers. Update and maintain current T & A systems with policy and state laws. Run imports and exports to record and maintain accurate records for employee's absence.
* Maintain knowledge of tax rules and laws that govern the payroll administration practices and ensure that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies as well as applicable Federal State and Local regulations.
* Process all quarterly and year end relocation wage and benefit adjustments prior to the processing and distribution of the W-2. Research, validate and correct employee data in payroll system, delivering a high level of quality customer service.
* Prepare review and take appropriate action on audit reports to verify data integrity. Run and provide post payroll reports to facilitate reconciliation for proper financial reporting and auditing.
* Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed. Run and distribute monthly reports as required. Identify, recommend and implement the development of new procedures in order to streamline and enhance payroll operations.
* Process special or exception items including reversals, voids and deletions. Issue manual checks for off cycle payroll adjustments required for RIFs and Terminations per state rules.
*Perform other related duties and projects that the manager deems necessary.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years payroll experience required in a corporate multi-company, multi-state environment utilizing multiple systems including Success Factors and ADP Payroll applications.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
* CPP or PHR certification a plus.
* Thorough knowledge of payroll processing across multi-states payroll process and procedure and payroll laws regulations and standards.
* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills required.
* Working knowledge of ADP Vantage and ADP Time & Attendance systems.
* Proficiency in MS office programs with emphasis on Excel worksheets and report writing systems.
* Customer service ability coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide excellent customer service to all staff.
* Adaptability to change processes or methods depending on client needs. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Ability to work overtime and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to work both independently and with a team.
