Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the On Site Specialist program at customer sites. Main objectives include maintaining customer satisfaction, hiring new OSS employees, supervising daily activities and providing coaching as needed and training of new account based OSS employees. Attaining these objectives requires coordinated efforts with various groups within Olympus, both internal and external to Surgical Endoscopy and the Service Division, in order to achieve a unified approach to effectively and profitably serving our customers.

Job Duties

* Develop and implement policies and procedures necessary to create an effective and efficient OSS program.

 

* Assist Marketing/IT with developing application to capture key business analytics/metrics for business review.

 

* Assists Olympus surgical training team with developing a rigorous program that promotes confidence and ensures success.

 

* Supervises the Olympus On-Site Specialists employees. Supervisory duties include selection of new candidates/employees, preemployment interview, performance evaluations, corrective action, authorization of time cards, assigns overtime as necessary, monitors attendance, assists with account implementation, Specialist training and provides continuous coaching and development to all OSS employees.

 

* Partner with MSG sales reps to implement effective sales strategies and to drive support for the On-site Specialists, increase customer engagement and growth of the OSS business. Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other divisions within Olympus to address key business issues as well as opportunities. Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities. 

 

* Interact with customers (Administrators and Clinicians) regarding the performance of On-Site Specialists and engage in business review meetings.

 

* Attend clinical meetings, seminars and conferences to adjust sales strategies as necessary.

 

* Adheres to all Olympus policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICIATIONS:

 

* Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 

* Minimum of 5 years of relevant knowledge / experience in the medical device or medical service industry required.

 

* Minimum of 2 years OR experience preferred.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Program development and management experience preferred.

 

* Demonstrated track record in achieving business results and managing a budget successfully.

 

* Advanced knowledge of OR environment.

 

* Olympus product knowledge preferred.

 

* Understanding of Endoscopic procedures.
