Job Description

 

We are currently looking for a Health Policy & Health Economics intern to join our Health Economics and Market Access team. This program will run from May 24 - August 6, 2021. This is a full-time opportunity involving up to 40 hours per week.

 

Due to COVID-19 work safety guidelines, this internship may be remote for a portion or all of the internship term

Job Duties

As an Olympus Intern, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects related to health economics, reimbursement and/or market access.

 

Potential projects for the Health Policy & Health Economics intern include:

 

*  US managed care policy analysis & summary development

 

*  Development of economic models, scientific/medical literature summary and evaluation, reimbursement research

 

*  Researching & reviewing medical/scientific literature and summarizing into tabular format, providing recommendations on findings
 

*  Researching managed care websites for coverage policies, summarizing, and analyzing for relevant endpoints
 

*  Developing economic analyses for Olympus products: including cost benefit analyses, budget impact models
 

*  Analyzing trends in US reimbursement, reviewing publicly available statistics 

Expected deliverables could include:  XLS, PPT, and a summary project at the end of the internship

 

A typical day for you will include:

 

* Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.

 

* Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.

 

* Engaging in other duties, as necessary.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
 

* Preferred fields of study include Healthcare management, Health economics, Healthcare administration, Pre-Med, Nursing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Epidemiology, Actuarial Sciences or related field.

 

* Must complete freshman year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
 

* Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).
 

* Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
 

* Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
 

* Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

 

* Must not now or in the future require immigration-related sponsorship.**
