Job Description

We are currently looking for an intern to join our Clinical Affairs Data Management team for our summer 2026 program, which will run from May 18 - July 31. This internship position is eligible for remote work within the U.S. This is a full-time opportunity involving 35-40 hours per week; hourly payrate will depend upon location (range is $24.75 - 29.75/hr).

As a Clinical Research Data Management Intern, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects.
Job Duties
As a Clinical Research Data Management Intern, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects. Potential projects for this summer could include:
- Assist with CRF review and testing: Support review of case report forms for completeness, clarity, and alignment with the protocol; participate in UAT testing in EDC systems.
- Data cleaning support: Run predefined data checks, identify missing or inconsistent data, and help draft or track data queries under supervision.
- Data reconciliation activities: Assist with reconciling clinical data against external sources (e.g., device logs, imaging data, or safety data listings).
- Database documentation maintenance: Help maintain data management documentation such as data management plans (DMPs), data dictionaries, and data validation specifications.
- Clinical systems support: Assist with user access tracking, training documentation, and basic system support for EDC or CTMS platforms.
- Data tracking and reporting: Create simple metrics or dashboards (e.g., query rates, data entry timeliness) to support study oversight.
- Process improvement and SOP support: Participate in reviewing SOPs or work instructions and help identify opportunities to improve data management workflows.
A typical day for you will include:
- Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.
- Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.
- Engaging in other duties, as necessary.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
- Must be enrolled in a life sciences - related degree program such as Biomedical Science, Biology, or related discipline.
- Must complete two (2) years of undergrad before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
- Must not now or in the future require immigration-related sponsorship.**

- Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).
- Basic understanding of clinical research and data integrity.
- Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
Preferred:
- Basic search engine skills (i.e. Google Scholar, PubMed)
- Experience sourcing empirical literature and identifying objectives, results, and conclusions.
- Familiarity with different types of studies and where to find them.
- Understanding of relevant clinical terminology.

The anticipated starting base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
