Job Description

The Regional Multi Domain Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will own the demand fostering, shaping, planning and realization across a broad range of multiple functional domains, for all the entities in their whole region, and in full alignment with the global wide IT strategy of the respective domains.

 

The Multi Domain BRM act as regional Business Partners towards all the local entities & countries. Jointly with the Regional IT Heads they retain the accountability to the business for the quality of the IT services delivered to each business entity, independently of their source of origin (regional or global). Understanding well their local markets and the organizations in place, the Multi Domain BRM plays an essential orchestrator role to inter-connect the regional/local demand and the global domain roadmaps so that they feed each other to maximize the delivery outputs and especially the value extracted from the IT investment.

 

From the perspective of the executive business leaders, the BRM is the business unit's frontline representative and advocate to the IT organization. From the perspective of the IT organization, the BRM is the IT organization's strategist, coordinator, chief advocate, marketer and communicator. The BRM will foster business customer intimacy in IT and continuously develop a symbiotic and aligned relationship with all the business stakeholders at Executive Level and below.

Job Duties

* All Functional Domains in scope will be respectively: Sales, Marketing & Service, /Mfg/QARA Supply Chain, Finance, & HR)

 

* Be the central point of contact and of accountability for the Domain demand from all related Stakeholders in the region. Also manage as needed the related dependencies between Business functions.

 

* Communicate, coordinate, connect the business mission, plans and priorities to the application domains and related IT functions, and engage with the IT delivery organization(s) to plan and provide appropriate support.

 

* Foster, shape and manage the business demand for the IT investment in the region across the respective domains, countries and business units, and in full alignment with the Global Lead BRM and Global Functional Roadmaps.

 

* Roadmap Definition, Demand Management and Delivery (for above domains in scope)

 

* Select the appropriate approach to meet the business's needs, as well as manage dependencies (both risks and opportunities) between domains. Ensure that the prioritized demand is translated into valid IT solutions and clearly defined projects (appropriate scoping and clear benefits definition).

 

* Accordingly ensure the handover to the portfolio manager and subsequently to the allocated project manager.

 

* Ensure that project benefit definition is measurable and actionable prior to project rollout, and ensure the necessary benefit tracking after delivery. Also establish a learning & improvement review process to continuously enhance business value generation.

 

* Relationship management - Determine the strategic approach to understanding stakeholder objectives and requirements. Work with all interested parties to identify stakeholders and establish effective relationships.

 

* Together with the BRM Team and the Regional IT Head, coach executive business stakeholders and their direct reports and continuously raise their digital literacy; enable them to articulate technology needs and requirements that will advance business performance; proactively share technology advancements and market success stories; consult with Enterprise Architecture in developing the enterprise roadmap.

 

* As one of the IT organization's chief advocates, contributes to the BRM Team & Regional IT Head efforts to inform and influence the domain executives so that they understand, support, and adequately fund projects that are in concert with IT goals, such as enterprise architecture and the infrastructure/application strategy. Notify the business of IT plans and changes, and their impact on business performance or plans.

 

* Run an internal VoC process (Voice of Internal Customer) to evaluate levels of satisfaction with the IT service delivery and to identify improvements required in IT/Business Units.

 

* Other responsibilities / duties as assigned

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

*  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration (or equivalent and related experience).

 

* Minimum 7 years of experience as an IT Department/Team Manager or Senior IT Consultant in at least one of the assigned Business Domains and related areas.

 

* Solid experience of both solution consulting and implementation/support across a broad range of Functional Domains and Solutions.

 

* Effective experience in value creation, demand planning and portfolio management activities. Experience of Design Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, Business Capability modelling would be a plus.

 

* Due to the global nature of the role, flexibility will be required for conference calls outside of local time zone business hours, as well as some travel post Covid-19.

 

PREFERRED QUALIICCATIONS:

 

* BRM Institute Certification would be a plus (not mandatory).

 

* Experience of new digital-driven customer solutions in the Medical industry or a Discrete Manufacturing Industry would be a plus.

 

* Good working understanding of major business processes, key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business, and technology trends in the assigned Business Domains.

 

* Experience in successfully managing multiple Executive stakeholders within the region.
