Job Description

The Marketing Copywriter position is responsible for writing compelling marketing and promotional materials for a wide variety of digital channels that touch on a myriad of Medical Systems Group products and services. These materials may include, but will not be limited to, product information for websites, brochures blog posts, emails, long-form downloadable assets for lead generation, landing pages, ad creative copy, etc. This role will also help define brand voice and ensure that all copy is consistent with this voice by writing, editing, and proofing materials.

Job Duties

* Conceptualize and write compelling copy for engagement, primarily for digital channels, in order to effectively communicate brand stories and aid in striving to reach marketing goals from respective Medical Systems Group business units.


* Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements, and execute on them with a keen focus on detail, timeliness, and meeting tight deadlines.

* Conduct high-quality research and interviews on sometimes complex topics and translate findings and key takeaways into comprehensible, value-driven copy/content

* Collaborate with designers, PR and other cross-functional disciplines on both large and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages).

* Edit and proofread copy while ensuring correct trademark, grammar, punctuation usage, brand guidelines, etc. are adhered to.

* Proactively identify and suggest improvements to processes and deliverables.


* When applicable, ensure that SEO best practices are being utilized when writing copy with a purpose of optimizing online organic visibility.

* Source images and other content to aid in bolstering a readily available media library for internal use.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



* Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field required.


* Minimum 2 years of copywriting/copy-editing work experience required.


* Ability to provide writing samples from multiple channels/mediums pertaining to digital campaigns is a must.




* Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of work.


* Ability to distill complex technical/med-tech information into effective, value-driven messaging.


* Understanding of marketing best practices and the marketing sales funnel.


* Working knowledge of various writing styles, formats, and standards.


* Experience working in a regulatory field or with medical device company a major plus.


* Experience working with/analyzing web performance data and KPIs a major plus.


* Ability to write in Spanish and/or French a major plus.
