Job Description
The Global IT Transformation Portfolio Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, governance, and performance of the most transformational technology initiatives. This portfolio includes enterprise-wide, cross-functional programs that fundamentally change how the business operates, enabled by technology, data, and new ways of working. This role ensures the portfolio is aligned to business strategy, optimized for value delivery, and executed with strong strict adherence to PMO methodology and standards. This role is also a people leadership role for project managers who perform projects within the Transformation Portfolio domain, both internal and external.
The role partners closely with Solution Delivery leads, Business Relationship Management leads, IT Security, Infrastructure and Service Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, and PMO leadership to drive transparency, prioritization, and project execution excellence across the IT Transformation Portfolio, and collaboration within the full IT portfolio of projects, including the IT Security Infrastructure Portfolio and the Enabling Solutions Portfolio.

Job Duties
Project Execution and Portfolio Management
- Own and manage the Transformation portfolio of projects, with oversight to the Project Managers delivering projects within this domain. This domain will include, but is not limited to major programs such as Global ERP Transformation, Global PLM Implementation, etc.
- Translate enterprise strategy and application delivery imperatives into a prioritized, funded, and executable portfolio roadmap.
- Manage portfolio reporting, demand prioritization in alignment with risk posture, business criticality, and architectural standards. Close partnership with BRM team will be required for demand prioritization.
- Balance transformational investments across application solution delivery projects, often making tradeoffs within IT Portfolio of Enabling solutions if something is end of life or needs complete redesign.
Project Governance and Communications
- Establish and maintain portfolio governance, standards, and performance metrics in partnership with the PMO.
- Hold monthly portfolio alignment and performance meetings with key ITLT stakeholders to ensure prioritization and alignment across the portfolios
- Ensure projects follow approved delivery methods (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall) with appropriate controls for security, compliance, and operational risk.
- Provide oversight across program and project managers to ensure schedule, scope, cost, quality, and risk objectives are met.
- Escalate and resolve cross-portfolio dependencies, risks, and resource constraints.
People Leadership
- Manage, coach and grow Transformation Project Managers within the portfolio team to ensure consistent delivery with excellence across the portfolio.
- Provide input, guidance and leadership to all project managers (internal and external) working on the Transformation portfolio and offer support and coaching to other project managers within the IT PMO when needed.
- Partner with other IT PMO Portfolio leads to ensure alignment and interdependencies when projects and programs require input and deliverables tied to other initiatives

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Computer Science or Business Management (or equivalent and related experience preferred).
- Project Management Professional Certification required (PMP). Scaled Agile Certifications preferred – SAFe SA, CSM, CSPO, etc.
- Minimum 8-12 years of working experience in project, program, or portfolio management within infrastructure and/or cybersecurity domains.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, multi-vendor portfolios in global environments. Proven ability to operate in highly regulated or risk-sensitive environments, medical device technology field is a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of leading large teams (indirect or direct management of team members).
- Proven track record of successfully driving and delivering end-to-end large complex scaled IT solutions/ projects or system implementations projects.
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software and system development.
- Extensive experience with negotiation and working with project and process management.
- Solid experience in stakeholder engagement practices.
- Solid experience with MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Proven project planning and organization skills with key attention to budget and resource management.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate critical-thinking skills.
- Demonstrable organizational skills.
- Demonstrate high emotional-intelligence (EQ) skills in alignment with strong leadership best practices.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $141,361.00 - $212,041.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual.
