Job Description
The IT Supplier Commercial and Governance Lead is responsible to establish and run formal governance models for IT suppliers, including operational reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and executive escalations. This role will act as the primary IT owner of the supplier performance and accountability. It will drive structured issue management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and ensure all suppliers follow Olympus methodology for supplier governance. For this role, it is key to monitor all supplier services used by the stakeholders. Also, the role is responsible for selecting the supplier according to the Olympus standards and negotiating the best conditions alongside with quitting/downgrading unused services as well as the partner relations with the supplier. The role is in close contact to various stakeholders to understand the needs from the supplier.

Job Duties
KPI, SLA & Service Performance Management
- Define, track, and manage KPIs and SLAs across IT suppliers
- Ensure service performance aligns with contractual commitments and business needs
- Lead remediation plans for missed KPIs/SLAs and ensure corrective actions are executed
- Enforce service credits, penalties, and cost recovery where contractual SLAs are missed
Commercial, Contract & Cost Management
- Own day-to-day commercial and contractual oversight for IT suppliers in partnership with Procurement and Legal
- Ensure contracts are structured, interpreted, and executed to protect the company’s interests
- Develop and implement a financial framework to provide clear visibility into costs of outsourced IT services
- Drive cost transparency, cost optimization, and supplier value realization
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, scope optimization, and cost reduction
AI Enablement in Supplier Management
- Ensure suppliers leverage AI and automation tools to enhance:
- KPI and SLA monitoring
- Requests and Incident Responses to reduce MTTR and preventive maintenance
- Spend analysis and cost modelling for YoY savings and synergies
- Supplier risk identification and early warning indicators
- Partner with internal and Supplier AI, data, and automation teams to embed intelligent workflows into supplier governance processes
- Promote responsible and compliant use of AI aligned with MedTech regulatory requirements
Application End-of-Life (EOL) & End-of-Service (EOS) Management
- Lead supplier-related aspects of application EOL/EOS planning and execution
- Ensure contracts, SLAs, and exit clauses support orderly retirement or transition of services
- Coordinate with IT, Procurement, and suppliers to:
- Minimize business disruption and compliance risk
- Avoid unnecessary contract extensions and cost leakage
- Support transition to replacement platforms or services
- Drive reduction of technical debt and legacy supplier dependencies
Procurement & Sourcing Support
- Partner with Global Procurement, Legal, and Finance on:
- RFI and RFP development
- Supplier evaluation and selection
- Commercial and contractual negotiations
- Ensure new sourcing activities align with IT strategy, financial governance, and regulatory requirements
- Support onboarding of new suppliers into governance and performance frameworks
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Procurement – sourcing, negotiations, renewals
- Legal – contract terms, risk mitigation, compliance
- Finance – cost models, chargeback/showback, forecasting
- IT Leadership – service quality, supplier strategy
- Act as a single point of coordination across functions for IT supplier matters

Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent and related experience preferred
- 8+ years in IT supplier/vendor management, IT commercial management, or technology sourcing
- Demonstrated experience using data, analytics, or AI tools to improve operational or commercial outcomes
- Experience managing outsourced IT services, contracts, KPIs, and SLAs
- Experience in regulated industries (MedTech, Pharma, Healthcare, Life Sciences preferred)
