Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business groups and will provide a full range of Human Resources support in areas including talent management and development, engagement & retention, organizational design, hiring, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and leadership development. This role must be a champion for Olympus’ Mission and Values, and must support and educate on Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), in partnership with the D&I team.

This position must work out of the Center Valley, PA office.

Job Duties

  • Actively participates in a variety of activities in support of assigned business groups, while leveraging corporate HR resources as appropriate. Examples may include, but are not limited to, partnering with the Learning & Development department to develop and implement a talent strategy, partnering with HR Compensation to develop and implement career paths, or partnering with Talent Acquisition to develop and implement a recruiting and hiring strategy.  
  • Collaborate, develop, and execute, with Business Leaders and HR colleagues,  workforce planning and organizational design activities within assigned business groups. Understand and advise on the forward-looking talent implications of planned business strategies and objectives. Collaborate with business and HR stakeholders to plan for and implement organizational changes.  Be a strong performance and organizational development consultant to the business leaders.
  • Resolve sensitive and confidential issues and concerns raised by all levels of employees in a confidential, timely, and objective manner. Direct employees, as appropriate to the tools that are available to them (e.g. HR Service Center) to enable efficient resolution of lower level issues. Conduct investigations of escalated HR related employee issues as is necessary. Must be capable of dealing with employee relations ranging from complex investigations to helping an employee with an issue. Also recognizing and recommending escalation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain constant awareness of general employee issues/concerns and implement solutions that ensure positive morale and an issue free environment. Collaborate with HR leaders and business stakeholders to design new policies and procedures as needed to provide appropriate responses to employee relations issues.
  • Work closely with employees and managers to help them identify developmental needs and to actively support career development within. Coach and educate employees at all levels regarding programs and policies such as benefits, Performance Management, diversity, antiharassment, ethics and attendance.
  • Identify compensation and benefits issues and review with Human Resources management and business groups as assigned to promote pay equity and efficient benefits service delivery. Partners with compensation and benefits team members to collaborate on and reach solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders.
  • Champion people analytics and drive the use of people data in influencing business decisions.
  • Drive process improvement of HR procedures through use of technology and process automation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or equivalent knowledge required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience is strongly preferred.  Will consider 3-5 years’ experience with a master's degree in HR/OD with a demonstrated track record of HRBP consultancy success.
  • Experience as an HR Generalist / HR Business Partner is required.
  • Ideal experience will include 2+ years of combined experience in talent development, managing employee relations, hiring, and organizational design. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification a plus.   
  • Knowledge of current federal, state, and local Human Resources related laws, regulations, trends and issues.
  • Strong analytical skillset is preferred.
  • Ability to challenge business leaders where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a matrix environment.
  • Ability to forge and maintain strategic business partnerships.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors is preferred.
