Job Description

The Manager, Global Mobility & Immigration will lead the Global Mobility team within the Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) HR Team, located in the OCA Headquarters in Center Valley PA. This position will provide strategic leadership and consultation on Olympus’ Global Mobility program (broadly comprised of both domestic and international relocation, inbound and outbound immigration, and cross-border taxation) for the countries within the Americas region.  

You will advise on specific global and domestic mobility-related challenges, foster new and strategic ideas, and support the hiring process. You will also build relationships in order to influence the business, create partnerships, and grow cross-functional partnerships. This role is responsible to support the regional alignment of the countries in the Americas region, update/maintain the region’s domestic relocation policy, and administer the cross-border Global Mobility program according to global policy, using global vendors where possible, and executing global operational processes.
 

Job Duties

Global Mobility Responsibilities:

 

* Oversee the administration of Global Mobility-related tax programs in the region, aligned to the global policy and contracts.  Consult with external tax provider to engage in tax-planning opportunities, understand tax risk and mitigation opportunities, and maintain compliance standards.  Create and maintain the annual eligibility list for the region; review tax equalization calculations.

 

* Initiate employees for tax services according to Global Mobility policy.  Manage escalated and aged issues.

 

*  Oversee the facilitation of the application and maintenance of lawful immigration status across the region, and employment authorization for employees and successful applicants (incoming new hires).

 

* Provide strategies and guidance to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Business Leaders, Payroll, Legal, and Finance regarding complex immigration matters, and effectively communicate options and recommendations
 

Strategic Leadership and Consultation Responsibilities:

 

* Present and develop training to HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition, and work with HR Global Mobility and Immigration coordinator to maintain updated relocation, immigration, and tax resources, process flows, and procedures.
 

* Work with regional and global partners to strategize, design, implement, and continually improve relocation, immigration, and tax processes and policies.
 

* Drive global projects to support the business in their global growth Work closely with the OCA and global Corporate Tax departments, as well as external tax provider; lead on complex tax matters for the region, including Individual assignee cases (e.g. managing escalated issues and reviewing detailed tax equalization calculations), and policy and process design.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred.

 

* Minimum 8 years of experience in Global Mobility in fast-paced company or management consulting. 

 

* Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.

 

* Minimum 2 years of experience driving projects and change management independently across multiple teams.
 

 

* Minimum 2 years of experience working with and presenting to executive audiences. 

 

* Up to 20% travel both domestic and international may be necessary.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. 

 

* Experience working with and drawing insights from raw data. 

 

* Project Management and Data Analytics knowledge.

 

* Interpreting industry trends and translating them to forecast short, mid and long term organizational talent needs. 

 

* Exceptional communication and presentation skills. 

 

* Strong consultative skills/influencing skills. 

 

* Strong previous partnerships with Talent Acquisition, Benefits/Total Rewards, HR Business Partners, Tax, Legal and Executive level leaders.
