Job Description
The Compensation Manager, Global will support the implementation of a competitive global compensation program. This individual will help implement and manage compensation policies and programs, including base pay, incentives, equity, and reward and recognition programs. Working closely with colleagues in the Center of Expertise, support global business and HR leaders, consult on global compensation-related matters, and implement high-impact communications to the organization’s managers and employees.
Job Duties
* Acts as an internal consultant to the Human Resources organization and cross-functional business leaders. The role drives overall development of compensation plans, programs, and policies. The role will support the head of Compensation and Benefits, Global in compensation projects including developing Compensation strategy, the annual merit process, incentive planning, market adjustment initiatives, process improvement initiatives, and HCM planning. Providing additional support in all areas of Global Compensation as necessary.
* In coordination with the head of Compensation and Benefits, Global, identify opportunities to consolidate and centralize compensation polices, processes and programs. Project manage change initiative within the portfolio of compensation practices and take ownership of the delivery of change to the organization.
* Drive the use of market data as a fundamental part of Compensation Philosophy, including educating the Human Resource and business stakeholders. Develop standardized tools, dashboards, and processes to deliver a consistent global compensation service to all parts of the business.
* Evaluate jobs profiles by reviewing descriptions, analyzing best practices, and benchmarking data both internally and externally. Align Olympus job evaluation methodology with the market while ensuring position are internally equitable.
* Support the Olympus Long Term Incentive (LTI) stock program by being the central point of contact for administrative and polices questions. Be the administrative contact for our external LTI administration vendor.
* Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on global compensation policies. Provide recommendations to the business and HR on current trends and best practices.
* Participate in special projects such as system implementation, reorganization and acquisitions. Complete special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required. Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 – 8 years’ experience with analysis and administration of compensation programs, costing and administering organization wide pay methods. Experience with global organization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certified Compensation Profession CCP or similar preferred
* Working knowledge of Mercer IPE, or similar methodology
* Experience performing job analysis, preparing job descriptions, evaluating positions using market pricing and job matching methodology.
* Experience in leveraging system compensation tools such as SuccessFactors, Workday or similar systems, to significantly improve compensation processing.
* High level of confidentiality, discretion, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
* Substantial interpersonal skills necessary to partner with employees and management at all levels in problem resolution and ability to interact with external sources for survey data collection.
* Knowledge of pertinent Global differentiation in laws and regulations and local practices where applicable. Basic understanding of Civil Rights Act, Equal Pay Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and personnel administration theories and practices.
* Experience with conducting studies and survey data submission. Analyzing and creating recommendations for all forms of remunerations with justifiable rationale.
* Experience with analyzing and interpreting policies, practices and procedures.
* Experience managing cross functional projects and using project management tools.
* Experience with conducting research, analyzing information and data and presenting findings in a concise format.
* Work with a globally diverse population, both internally and externally.
* Demonstration of intellectual curiosity.
