Job Description

The Financial Analyst II will be responsible for independently performing financial analysis and supporting the budgeting and forecasting of Corporate and Shared Service Operating Expenses. The incumbent will perform expense related activities for the month end close budgeting and forecasting processes in order to manage and control spend. The incumbent will possess the ability to analyze and interpret financial data in order to prepare requested reports and analyses. This role works under general direction and raises issues to higher level analysts or managers who review work for accuracy.

Job Duties

* Analyze departmental operating expense results and variances in order to ensure accuracy as well as identify any emerging trends.


* Review and provide standard set of reports to Finance Managers and department leaders.


*  Prepare the annual Budget and quarterly forecasts related to operating expenses.


* This includes preparing/updating reports making operating expense changes in the financial system and expense variance analysis.


*  Prepare Journal Entries and Reports for the monthly close process.


* Work closely with the financial systems group to develop and implement system based approaches for financial planning and analysis.


* Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



* A Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.


* Minimum of 2 years of accounting or equivalent experience is preferred.




* Must have working PC Skills(Excel PowerPoint Word).


* Hyperion Experience a Plus but not required.


* SAP Experience a Plus but not required.


* Moderate Written and Verbal Communication Skills.


* Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner.
