Job Description

The Delivery Lead (Domain) is responsible for driving solution delivery for a specific Business Domain. Through establishing ways of working and guiding the delivery teams using a variety of techniques, the Delivery Lead aims to execute the roadmap of the relevant Business Domain. The role involves empowering and coaching delivery teams to realize the value while relentlessly focusing on removing impediments.


The Finance lead will advocate process design improvements, best practices, in the areas of Finance, Sales and Service for SAP ECC and CRM. Provide SAP platform and development standards for project teams in order to develop solutions that leverage SAP best practice and comply with validated architecture standards. Lead platform and development strategy for SAP to ensure solutions are leveraging optimized tools and system capabilities Manage the Application Manages Service(AMS) vendor resources onshore and offshore. Facilitate & lead fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and  technical team members such Application Development, Security, Basis, SAP Finance, Sales and Repair Resource planning , develop team skill matrix and team work load management


Through service introduction planning and execution, ensure that when new capabilities are introduced into production, they are well communicated, and the IT team is prepared for production support. Oversee change management. Collaborate with project teams to gather security specific requirements and translate requirements into design. Experience with Hyperion, Vertex,  Credit Card processing is a plus. In this role it is critical to build trusted relationships across other delivery teams to align roadmaps and execution plans, manage risks and meet compliance responsibilities.

Job Duties

* Delivery Roadmap


  • Work collaboratively with the technical lead (e.g., Lead Engineer, Solution Architect), the 'voice of the customer' (e.g., Product Owner, Business Relationship Manager) and central IT portfolio management to ensure roadmaps strike the right balance between business delivery, technology enablement and operations work in terms of scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Provide guidance to the delivery team to ensure initiatives are well-defined and ready to work on.


* Delivery Management


  • Manage the operational aspects of the delivery team, ensuring financial, risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met. 
  • Work with the delivery team to ensure completed features get into the production environment and into the hands of stakeholders.
  • Maximize the flow of value delivered, systematically measuring, and removing impediments, and ensuring a metrics-focused approach to measure objective realization and performances.
  • Ensure supplier performance, including alignment with the organization’s ways of working and values, assessing performance and fostering strong relationships that encourage continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Empower and coach teams in their ways of working and to realize value in the best way possible.
  • Share insights that help improve productivity, leveraging knowledge of software delivery methods, Agile principles and methods, project management approaches, and industry best practices.


* Communications and Stakeholder Management


  • Enhance communication and build trusting relationships across teams to align roadmaps, coordinate initiatives, manage risks and compliance responsibilities.
  • Provide key insights to stakeholders on the progress of an initiative or feature from inception to delivery and into production, including visibility to development efforts and value metrics.


* People Management


  • Lead, motivate, develop, and appraise team members so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business.
  • Manage a team of 7-10 Business Analysts and Software Engineers in the delivery and support of software solutions


* Other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



* Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer or business field (or equivalent and related experience preferred).


* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the assigned Business Domain/area.


* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.


* Broad understanding of IT topics such as (e.g., cloud products and platforms, micro-service architectures, automation, and API integration)


* In-depth knowledge of the assigned Business Domain/area and the corresponding processes, including key performance indicators, best-in-class practices, business, and technology trends.


* Work experience in the IT environment with a broad understanding of a wide variety of applications and technical capabilities, and how those varied solutions can support the organization’s strategic goals.




* Certification in agile methodologies is, depending on the assigned area, desired (not mandatory).


* Experience in project/product/platform management.


* Understanding of Agile and lean methodologies as well as Business domain expertise.


* Experience in both managing people and processes.


* Experience leading, supporting and mentoring a team


* Experience working with Program Managers, Project Managers, Product Owners, Platform Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers and Testers.
