Job Description
The Director, Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) leads the short‑term operational planning and execution processes that ensure product availability, service performance, and efficient end‑to‑end supply chain operations. This role serves as the critical connection between strategic IBP outputs and daily/weekly execution, enabling alignment across Sales, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Procurement.
The Director is accountable for near‑term demand/supply balancing, risk management within the 0–13 week horizon, and the delivery of operational excellence through data‑driven decision‑making, global coordination, and strong indirect leadership across multiple regions and business units.
Job Duties
Operational Leadership
- Facilitate decision‑making and issue resolution, leading the 0–13 week planning horizon to ensure coordinated and effective execution of demand and supply plans.
- Manage daily/weekly cross-functional execution forums to solve service risks, capacity constraints, inventory issues, and demand variability.
- Translate monthly IBP outputs into executable short-term plans with clear prioritization and accountability.
Demand & Supply Management
- Monitor demand signals, order patterns, and market shifts to anticipate near‑term risks.
- Collaborate with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure adequate supply, production scheduling, and material availability.
- Evaluate service-level risks and proactively implement mitigation actions.
Resolution & Escalation
- Serve as the primary escalation point for short-term supply chain disruptions.
- Lead structured root-cause analyses for service failures and develop actionable corrective plans.
- Coordinate rapid cross-functional response during unplanned events (e.g., supply interruptions, urgent customer requests).
Analytics & Performance Management
- Lead the design and deployment of dashboards and analytical capabilities that strengthen transparency, drive performance, and accelerate decision‑making across the business.
- Identify process and system improvement opportunities to enhance agility and performance.
- Own key execution KPIs such as fill rate, OTIF, inventory accuracy, and short-term forecast accuracy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing Sites, Logistics, Customer Service, and Procurement across regional and global teams to drive alignment and ensure consistent execution of short‑term plans.
- Ensure real‑time, globally coordinated communication of supply risks, trade‑offs, and recovery options to all key stakeholders, enabling rapid, informed decision‑making.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) readiness from an execution standpoint.
Leadership
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data‑driven execution by providing strong leadership across global and regional teams for the assigned Division, the respective BUs (3), sales regions (5) and supply regions (3).
- Build organizational capability in short‑term planning and rapid‑response processes by indirectly managing and developing cross‑functional teams, elevating talent and driving consistent adoption of global best practices.
- Act as a role model for disciplined execution, cross‑functional collaboration, and proactive problem‑solving.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Planning, Customer Operations or related fields required.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, planning or customer operations. Experience in S&OE and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional operations and resolving complex issues.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, principles, and concepts.
- High level of problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate as part of a global team.
- Ability to build and maintain Excel-based tools and dashboards.
- Experience with PowerBI beneficial.
- Ability to manage a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Very good command of English (Japanese and/or German beneficial).
- Willingness to travel when required to fulfil global responsibility.
- Openness to work flexibly in case of urgent / critical supply situations.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position in this location is $134,666.00 - $188,532.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
