Job Description

This position plays a vital role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process by delivering accurate product demand forecasts. By analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other factors, they provide insights that guide procurement, production, and distribution decisions. This helps the organization meet customer demand efficiently while minimizing excess inventory and costs. The role also involves collaborating with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and support optimized inventory, production, and financial planning.

Job Duties

  • Partner on the development and maintain accurate, data-driven demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, market intelligence, promotional activities, and external factors.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance teams to gather relevant inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment on demand plans to support the global IBP process.
  • Facilitate monthly demand enrichment or consensus meetings with cross-functional teams, to update and finalize demand plans.
  • Track forecast accuracy metrics (e.g.., MAPE, bias) and perform root cause analysis on forecast variances.
  • Facilitate monthly regional Demand Reviews with key stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide accurate regional demand inputs into the global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle.
  • Translate demand forecasts into actionable data to support inventory planning, procurement, and manufacturing planning. 
  • Leverage Excel and other analytical tools to manipulate large datasets, create dashboards, and deliver insights that support strategic decisions. Ensure accurate and timely input of demand data into forecasting and planning systems.  
  • Develop demand plans for new product introductions, phase-outs, and promotions, ensuring timely communication and alignment across departments to manage transitions smoothly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies. Drive adoption of best practices and innovations in forecasting techniques.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field required.
  • Strong analytical, mediation, and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivating.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to Identify and implement process improvements. 
  • Occasional business travel required (~10%)
  • Collaboration with colleagues from other regions globally (time zone differences may affect working hours as needed).

  • Experience with demand planning software/tools and SAP ERP Systems is a plus.
