Job Description
Business Analyst - Supply Chain will act as a liaison between the Demand Planning, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Management, and Asset Management Group. The position will be responsible for the understanding and analysis of all inventory processes and for leveraging this understanding to ensure that the Olympus Corporation of the Americas system and inventory data integrity is maintained and optimized. Overseeing projects within the Supply Chain Department to maintain or enhance business practices.
Job Duties
* Studies and analyzes the business processes of Corporate and Product groups in order to adapt and translate these processes to the Company enterprise computer system (SAP) and our warehouse management software (PkMS/WMi).
* Manage projects in relation to goals and strategic objectives set by management.
* Cross functional project analysis to maintain or improve financial and inventory efficiency, accuracy and documentation.
* Play an integral role in various activities of the Supply Chain team including evaluating and recommending new project ideas, disseminating and communicating project results, and providing thought leadership regarding the expansion of the Supply Chain program.
* Interfaces on a close and regular basis with divisional staff in order to learn all the inventory business processes involved in the completion of their work on the various systems implemented at Olympus.
* Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Olympus’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use.
* Keeps documentation current on all processes related to this position.
* Develops and delivers training to all appropriate staff to ensure that all business processes are fully understood and applied throughout the various departments. Trains new employees on existing or new processes that support business needs.
* Work effectively with end users, leveraging excellent communication skills to identify, elicit and categorize requirements and pass these back to the development team.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or other related field (or equivalent and related experience).
* Minimum 3 years experience working with ERP software in a Distribution environment (knowledge of SAP Material Management, Procure To Pay, Sales and Distribution modules would be helpful) or related experience.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with Manhattan WMS or equivalent desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and quantitative thinking.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodology to work effectively in an agile team.
* Good verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate analysis clearly and precisely to provide business insights also for non-technical stakeholders.
* Deadline driven, team player, with strong customer focus.
* Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
* Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on issues.
* Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions.
* Extensive experience researching, recreating, and resolving inventory integrity issues between multiple systems.
