Job Description

The Analyst supports the Self-Assessment Team in Supply Chain at Olympus. In this role the candidate will review Supply Chain procedures, cost, and key controls in areas of logistics, finance, trade compliance, distribution, and any other adjacent areas as needed. The role will assist with identifying improvements within the policies, cost, and processes of those stated areas to drive efficiency. This role will analyze and interpret logistics, distribution, and cost data and provide information to aid in effective, efficient, timely, and high-quality solutions. This role will provide recommendations for process enhancements based on the review of the Olympus Corporation of the Americas (OCA) business procedures and the Target Operating Model. This position will be responsible for performing Supply Chain OPEX variances, SG&A Budgets and Forecast and will also aid the Japan's Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (J-SOX) process owner for the OCA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Organization.

Job Duties

  • Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of Supply Chain data related to logistics cost, products, sourcing, trade compliance, and distribution.
  • Understand, analyze, and perform OPEX variances, SGA Budgets and Forecasting for Supply Chain Management.
  • Use analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control Supply Chain operations and processes.
  • Maintain database(s) of Self-Assessment information and provide periodic reporting to management.
  • Monitor OCA policies around Supply Chain Management and provide self-assessment of current practices.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards showing trends of self-assessment audits.
  • Aid the SCM J-SOX process owner with monitoring of controls and assisting with requests from the Internal Audit Department and OCA external auditors.
  • Assist with audits and information requests conducted by external entities as it pertains to Supply Chain Management and the self-assessment function. Entities include but not limited to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Food and Drug Administration, and any other entity as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and SOPs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Related experience in a comparable role can substitute for educational requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with ERP (e.g., SAP) and/or WMS (e.g., Manhattan) systems preferred.
