Job Description

The Endoscopy Account Manager is responsible for selling all products relating to the GI & Respiratory Care call points within his / her designated geographical territory. The Endoscopy Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a local business plan which follows the direction of MSG goals and directives to achieve maximum product sales and profitability. The Endoscopy Account Manager also collaborates with field support personnel and sales colleagues to coordinate activities of field support personnel to best serve the customer and drive the business focus for the company.   

Job Duties

* Identifies and pursues the capital disposable and repair service business at the account level by making routine calls to existing customers or to new customers.

 

* Developing and maintaining effective knowledge of the overall GI & R business the evolving healthcare marketplace financial service offerings competition products and services and leveraging strategies.

 

* Utilizes all available Olympus resources and develops sufficient product procedural and market knowledge to understand the function and use of Olympus products as well as to be able to provide necessary in-service in support of product's clinical use.

 

* Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of the needs that Olympus products and value added services meet and how to properly position them for success.

 

* Attends periodic training classes national area regional and local meetings and business related events.

 

* Interfaces with many corporate based personnel (ie Customer service service contracts and financial services) and should create a team approach to all business dealings.

 

* Provides input to Regional Sales Directors Area Vice Presidents the Marketing organization and others as requested regarding sales sales forecasts competitive activity group contracted business and other requested field information.

 

* Develops and maintains accurate customer information records of key personnel product usage and developing opportunities via CRM system.

 

* Works in close cooperation with Regional Sales Director regarding all aspects of territory performance including overall sales customer satisfaction execution of business plan and reporting mechanism.

 

* Provides an accurate monthly forecast to his / her RSD and invests the appropriate time in each focus category to close forecasted opportunities by months end.

 

* Maintains Olympus owned assets securely and provides proper care and maintenance of Olympus demo and sample equipment and accessories.

 

* Must be dependable adaptable customer focused and engaged in all aspects of the job.

 

* Interfaces with other OAI divisions to implement synergistic sales programs.

 

* Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or equivalent sales/business experience.

 

* Minimum of 3 years of sales marketing or clinical experience preferably in healthcare gastroenterology or endoscopic field including at least 1 year of sales experience in healthcare preferably in capital equipment. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Clinical or medical device selling/marketing experience strongly desired.

 

* Proven track record of success.

 

* Proficient in developing and following quarterly and annual business plans.

 

* Strong closing skills.

 

* Works well in teams

 

* A specialized knowledge of human anatomy/physiology and related diseases of the body where Olympus products might be utilized is preferred.

 

* Has experience with and is comfortable with CRM software.(Salesforce)

 

* Must possess basic computer skills (MS Office) and strong communication (verbal & written) interpersonal and organizational skills.


* Must possess a high degree of initiative and creativity and the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
