Job Description
This position has responsibility for the overall operation of the Winery under their responsibility and may be assigned to a specific winery, as well as another winery along with the necessary training to ensure that business needs are met. The position will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of warehouse operations processes, including receiving, inventory handling, cycle counting, picking, packing, and shipping of the products in their charge, along with document issuance and related processes to ensure a controlled flow of approved inventory to meet supply chain-driven production and demand requirements.
Job Duties
- The Warehouse and Logistics Analyst is responsible for the general administration and control of the warehouse under their charge.
- Responsible for executing the correct receipt of products entering the warehouse, verifying that they physically match what is described in the packing list, and conducting a physical inspection of the condition in which the merchandise is received.
- Must report any unusual situation that does not allow for a compliant receipt in the system.
- Responsible for storing products in the corresponding location according to the locations designated by product code, if applicable. Otherwise, they must assign an appropriate location to protect the merchandise and maintain it in good condition.
- Product Reservation: Physically prepare reserved products according to the list generated by the system and register them in the ERP system for subsequent delivery to the customer or technician in the Technical Service area.
- Product Distribution: Prepare orders according to system-generated picking instructions, verify physical accuracy, and generate the necessary inventory movements in the system to record product dispatches.
- Once products have been dispatched from the warehouse and confirmation has been received from the corresponding area, create the kit and/or weapon pack, if applicable.
- In the event of product returns, follow established procedures until products are returned to inventory, when applicable.
- Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the assigned warehouse.
- Occasionally support the training of new employees.
- Periodically review product expiration dates and notify the appropriate departments.
- Report any product shrinkage or loss in a timely manner.
- Submit and maintain physical documentation (Dispatch Guides, Reception Minutes, etc.) for future customer or company inquiries.
- Occasionally assist in the training of other employees.
- Follow ISO standards and Olympus operating procedures.
- Perform all aspects of domestic shipments as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Prepare requested equipment for customer evaluations or demonstrations as requested by the commercial area.
- Schedule evaluations and demonstrations.
- Maintain evaluation and demonstration equipment in optimal aesthetic and functional condition.
- Coordinate transportation of equipment to its destination and arrange for its return.
- Demonstrate basic to intermediate operational proficiency with equipment used for evaluations and demonstrations.
- Manage all necessary documentation for equipment checkout and return through the ERP system.
- Monitor compliance with established evaluation and demonstration schedules.
- Send equipment to Technical Service after each evaluation or demonstration to verify equipment condition.
- Manage repairs for equipment damaged during evaluations or demonstrations and determine responsibility for associated costs.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and accessories required for equipment operation.
- Ensure equipment remains fully functional and operational when needed.
- Control and maintain documentation related to assigned processes and record it in a timely manner.
- Assist in the coordination and organization of courses, congresses, and events in which the company participates or organizes.
- Perform all warehouse movements related to demonstration equipment and evaluations, both physically and virtually.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- More than 1 year in similar positions Basic warehouse management and logistics management. Higher Technical Studies in knowledge of Logistics Management desirable.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
- Must be able to work varied hours.
- Familiar with the handling of forklift crane.
- Familiar with the FIFO method of inventory control.
