Job Description

Responsible for independently performing balance sheet account reconciliations on a daily and/or monthly basis, as well as performing analysis. This position will also assist with monthly accounting closing, including preparing general ledger entries. This role works under supervision and raises questions with accountants or higher-level managers, who review the work for accuracy.

Job Duties

  • Assists in the monthly closing process by preparing, entering, and recording accounting journal entries.
  • Prepares various financial analyses of costs, inventory, accounts payable, and intercompany balances.
  • Prepares various general ledger account analyses by reviewing transactions within the general
  • ledger to ensure accurate account activity.
  • Prepares various balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of account balances.
  • Efficiently manage treasury: relationships with financial institutions, and payment and collection management.
  • Collaborate closely with management and the executive team in the design and execution of short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies.
  • Provide financial advice to senior management on best practices, the economic impact of key decisions, and value maximization strategies.
  • Prepare or review daily cash position and activity reporting
  • Prepare monthly cash flow statements including commentary for executive leadership review
  • Provide responses and ad hoc reports to Global Treasury as requested
  • Manage and maintain regional banking relationships highlighting areas for improved interactions and increased efficiency
  • Identify overdue accounts and pursue timely collection.
  • Investigate and resolve unapplied payments to accounts.
  • Provide support to Customer Service dept. and Country Managers as statement of accounts and payments received
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in public accounting.
  • Minimum of 3- 4 years of experience in collections , treasury or equivalent.
  • Audit (external e internal)
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data and trends
  • Cash Management: Skill in managing cash position and funding processes
  • Domain of intermediate Office packages - Excel (Excel, Word, Power Point), 
  • Collections Management
  • Analyze and problem solving.
  • Development of Financial Strategies
  • Honesty.
  • Order.
  • Analysis capacity.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail.

 

Preferred:

  • English 75% preferred.
