Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Technician maintains responsibility for supporting 2nd shift production operations. The incumbent assists engineers with coordinating and implementing projects, and the installation and maintenance of shop floor workstations and equipment. He/ She works with Value Stream staff to solve technical, operational, and quality problems as they arise. The incumbent may assist with releasing updates to Manufacturing Procedures, training, tooling design and fabrication, and release of technical drawings.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:


* Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products with minimal engineering guidance.


* Assist engineering teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data.


* Train/Coach peers on technical aspects of engineering work including interpreting and rationalizing data. Work with engineering staff to solve technical and quality problems relating to production operations.


* Assist engineers in writing procedures for new processes and with process and equipment qualifications.


* Assist engineers with setup of and modification to production line equipment and workstations.


* Participate in and assist with risk management meetings and provide inputs based on production observations.


* Assist engineers in conducting engineering studies and experiments.


* Review & resolve workstation safety and ergonomic issues.


* Prepare reports, documentation, and other related materials.


* Draft and execute change orders for controlled release of documents and part drawings.


* Provide cost reduction recommendations. Identify parts and supplies needed to support product or process implementation and ensure availability according to production schedules.


* Train Operators, Supervisors, and other employees on use of new equipment and/or processes.


* Initiate and Lead continuous improvement measures by providing technical information and driving change implementation.


* Aide engineers in IQ/OQ/PQ and all required validation activities for production processes, tooling, and fixtures.


* Ensure compliance to QMS and all regulatory standards as applicable.


* Perform all other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements



* High School Diploma required.

* Associate's degree in Engineering or Technical degree preferred, or equivalent and 5+ years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Strong technical aptitude; capable of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical assembly and repair for production equipment.

* Passionate about solving problems and driving continuous improvement.

* Strong statistical, analytical, and decision-making skills.

* Quality and Customer oriented.

* Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

* Must possess a high degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) applications.

* Experience with CAD software is desirable.

* Knowledge of FDA regulations is desirable.

* Able to perform required duties with minimum supervision.
