Job Description

We are currently looking for a Product Marketing intern to join our new product developmtn team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This program will run from May 24 - August 6, 2021. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week.


This position requires on-site work. While onsite, this internship will follow all applicable COVID-19 work safety guidelines. This position may also be remote for a portion of the internship term.

Job Duties

As an intern in Upstream Marketing, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects.  Anticipated projects include:


*  Market mix, value proposition and message testing


*  Voice of Customer (VOC) animal lab planning, execution, and output data analysis


*  Product portfolio lifecycle management activities
In a typical day, you will:


*  Participate in weekly project core team meetings


*  Support in planning and execution of VOC animal lab(s) activities with HCPs to understand device preference and mix, in addition to value proposition and message testing


*  Compile and analyze input and feedback collected from VOC activities


*  Interface with Upstream and Downstream Marketing partners on any legacy product portfolio lifecycle management activities, e.g. – obsolescence planning and communications


*  Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful communication of information and completion of activitie


*  Participate as a full member of the Surgical Energy Product Marketing team inclusive of bi-weekly team meetings and informal brainstorming discussions

Job Requirements



* Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.

* Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
* Preferred fields of study include Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field.


* Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).

* Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.

* Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.


* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.

* Strong, professional communication skills.

* Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.

*  Strong grasp of Marketing fundamentals e.g. market research/Voice of Customer, market segmentation, product positioning, competitive analysis.


*  Exhibit a passion for Medical Device Product Marketing.
