Job Description

The purpose of the Finance Intern is to participate in area's project focusing on billing customers and give effectiveness to the company's financial processes.

Job Duties

  • Analyze departmental operating expense results and variances in order to ensure accuracy as well as identify any emerging trends.
  • Review and provide standard set of reports to Finance Managers and department leaders.
  • Prepare the annual Budget and quarterly forecasts related to operating expenses. This includes preparing/updating reports making operating expense changes in the financial system and expense variance analysis.
  • Prepare Journal Entries and Reports for the monthly close process.
  • Work closely with the financial systems group to develop and implement system based approaches for financial planning and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have working PC Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Moderate Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties in an organized and efficient manner.

 

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of accounting or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Hyperion Experience a Plus but not required.
  • SAP Experience a Plus but not required.
