Job Description

The position holder is responsible for the financial and operational management of the Mfg Site which includes the Mfg operation and can include Repair operation by providing direct and indirect leadership to all site functions.  

Job Duties

  • Create local financial and operational plans in line with regional management direction.
  • Translate regional and site objectives into clear SMART objectives in line with direction from Head of Regional Mfg.
  • Monitor operational and finance results against budget and plan implement countermeasures if needed.
  • Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal and environmental compliance and demonstrate a duty of care.
  • Continuously encourage high standards driving performance, change initiatives, innovation and behaviors.
  • Drive results through setting clear priorities, expectations, assigning resources and overcoming obstacles.
  • Continuously enhance the operational performance (SQCDE) based on KPI targets.
  • Financial cost management of the site.
  • Deployment of global and regional manufacturing strategy in the site.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders/ customers to meet their expectation.
  • Drive organizational and talent development including leadership capabilities.
  • Champion the company’s core values encouraging good behavior and best practice.
  • Assure successful launches for new products.
  • Perform continuous improvement activities for all site processes..
  • Adherence to laws, rules and regulations. And appoint appropriate managers, etc. based on regional / national laws.
  • Contribute to the development of local communities and improve the value of OLYMPUS existence through the activities of external organizations in the relevant regions.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Successfully completed studies (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration).
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing or comparable environment ideally in Medical Device Mfg or other regulated industries.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of management experience with multiple direct reports.
  • Proven track record to manage multidisciplinary functions in complex matrix organizations.
  • LEAN / continuous improvement, operational excellence.
  • Organizational, talent and leadership development.

 

Preferred:

  • Clear & concise written and spoken communication skills.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to present information in a structured way to audiences of varied technical levels.
  • Effective collaborator.
  • Is organized and can plan/schedule efficiently.
  • Logical in thinking & approach.
  • Can motivate for performance..
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Proven leadership skills to engage and motivate a team & has managed technical teams..
  • Ability to gain credibility at senior level by driving organizational change.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $158,600.00 - $237,899.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
