Job Description
The position is responsible for the complete ownership of inventory accounting within the Bartlett Facility and the Cycle Count Program in addition to auditing, supporting, and controlling inventory within the four walls. This role also acts as liaison between RA/QA, Business Groups, Outbound and Inbound staff to coordinate all physical and system inventory transactions that pertain to regulatory issues, WMi Item Master updates, shortages, returned inventory, damages/disposals, slotting, location type availability and size to improve efficiencies while maintaining Inventory Integrity.
Job Duties
- Accurately coordinates and completes all processes related to the flow of inventory throughout transfers, work orders, kitting, cycle counts, etc.
- Oversee and train personnel in all aspects of Inventory Control including directing them in prioritizing activities and achieving MBO and daily targets related to Inventory Control.
- Prepare and issue cycle counts based on schedule. Perform data entry, identify variances, issue recounts, analyze results, investigate unresolved variances, and make approved adjustments as necessary. Notify Supervisor/Manager of inventory discrepancies (i.e., picking errors, inventory shortages). Submit variances to Manager/Supervisor for approval.
- Develop and enforce effective standard operating procedures for department as necessary with regard to Inventory Handling.
- Participates in internal and external audits.
- Monitor PACKLOCN and reconciliation locations and work with internal groups to resolve issues and prevent reoccurrence.
- Address and coordinate with RA/QA on quality issues which include verifying, segregating and returning stock where applicable.
- Responsible for all WMi location creation and deletion. Overseeing and ensuring that inventory is stored in appropriate product status/SLOC.
- Process Return to Vendor and Destruction orders as requested. Coordinate receipt of all necessary paperwork needed to initiate and confirm destruction orders.
- Work with Outbound and Inbound groups to resolve shortage, replenishment and put away issues. Makes recommendations to Management for improvements.
- Initiates process flow evaluation and improvements as needed to ensure inventory slotting is optimal in creating the most efficient flow throughout the operation.
- Provide support for identifying & implementing such improvements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in warehousing/distribution with emphasis on Inventory Control preferred, or equivalent knowledge.
Preferred:
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight time schedules and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Working knowledge and understanding of WMi and SAP systems with the ability to learn and adapt to a new system as applicable.
- Skilled in MS Excel, Showcase, and WASP Labeler Program.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution.
- Analytical Skills, Problem Solving, Mathematical Skills, Organizational Skills.
- Proficient knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, other software PC skills a plus.
- Mandatory overtime hours required when necessary to support the business needs.
- The ability to operate a forklift truck and to lift 50lbs.
