Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst will function as a liaison between the Asset Management, Inventory Purchasing and Planning, Supply Chain Operations, and Service/Repair. Working with Product Marketing, ensure assets ordered are built and in stock to meet company, departmental, and customer goals/needs. Develops material schedules for builds and work with Product Marketing and Repair or Field Service Engineers to coordinate the labor and material availability to facilitate build as well as the efficient movement through the end-to-end supply chain. This role will also review and analyzes current inventory levels and identifies any gaps restricting product availability and or areas out of established SLAs. In addition, this position will be responsible for the understanding and analysis of all inventory processes and leveraging this understanding to ensure that the Asset Management’s inventory data integrity is maintained and analyze to create operational tasks. Executing projects will be large part of this position. Being able to create, enhance, or change process or tools to maintain or enhance business practices.
Job Duties
* Management’s Demonstration inventory pool and comply with Supply Chain processes (physically and systematically) as well as in the company’s ERP system (SAP) and our warehouse management software.
* Manage projects in relation to goals and strategic objectives set by management.
* Cross functional project analysis to maintain or improve financial and inventory efficiency, accuracy, and documentation.
* Play an integral role in various activities of the Asset Mgmt. including evaluating and recommending new project ideas, disseminating, and communicating project results or processes.
* Interfaces on a close and regular basis with divisional staff to learn/understand the inventory support necessary to be supported by Asset Mgmt.
* Keeps documentation current on all processes related to this position.
* Develops and delivers training to all appropriate staff to ensure that all business processes are fully understood and applied throughout the various departments.
* Compile key metric data and perform analysis for material availability and planning.
* Regular maintenance of materials in ERP system (accuracy, product lead times, inventory levels).
* Provide data to support lead time reduction initiatives.
* Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet business needs.
* A passion for continuous improvement with a can-do attitude is essential.
* Monitor inventory turns goals while maintaining availability on core materials.
* Analyze and maintain the safety stock level periodically.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities such as kaizen.
* Department lead for system UAT testing.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working with SAP ERP software in a Distribution environment (knowledge of SAP Financial modules would be helpful).
* Knowledge of the SAP ERP software package is essential.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to thoroughly analyze, interpret data / information to make sound informed decisions.
* This position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot as well as develop alternative solutions to problems.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a cross functional and fast-moving environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Warehouse Management software understanding.
* Experience with PowerBI, MS Forms, PowerPoint desirable.
