Job Description

Olympus is a leading manufacturer of IoT enabled test and measurement solutions used in applications including aerospace, oil & gas, infrastructure, and automotive. We are currently building a cloud platform (OSC) to offer cloud based digital services to our customers. We are looking for a full-stack Software Developer who will help to build cloud applications, extend OSC platform with rich APIs and support factory/service cloud interface for the ANI and Portable NDT programs.

Job Duties

In a typical day, you will:

 

* Participate in requirement gathering design documentation and feature planning.

 

* Work closely with customers and business stake holders to develop applications and features that meet our users' needs and generate value for Olympus and our customers.

 

* Be responsive to customer requirements and turn proof of concept ideas into finished solution in a timely manner using an Agile approach.
 

* Collaborate with NDT/ANI device teams to support factory/service needs from cloud.
 

* Design and Implement powerful MVC + SPA based web applications/dashboards using frameworks such as Net/Java /NodeJs (for backend) Angular/React (Typescript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS) for frontend.
 

* Design, Implement, Test and Deploy and RESTFul APIs leveraging Azure cloud platform. Design/Administer SQL Database in production environments.
 

* Participate in code reviews. Maintain a working knowledge and awareness of leading/emerging technologies in the cloud software development.

 

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Bachelor's Degree in computer science math engineering or other scientific discipline.

 

* Minimum 5 years of experience or a minimum of 4 years with MS, 0-2 with a PhD as professional programmer.

 

* Minimum 2 years developing full-stack cloud applications using .Net/Java/NodeJs and Angular/React for Azure/AWS/GCP cloud platforms.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

* Strong SW development skills with experience/proficiency in some or all the following languages C#/Java/NodeJs, Typescript/Javascript, HTML, CSS, using frameworks such as .Net core, Angular, .NET Core, Angular/React.Demonstrable experience in full-stack cloud development to build SPA, RestFul APIs and micro-services and deploy them in Azure/AWS/GCP cloud platforms.

 

* Practical experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB) design, management and optimizing performance.

 

* Experience developing on the Microsoft Azure platform.

 

* Experience with hybrid mobile applications and PWA development using frameworks such as Ionic/Capacitor and Electron would be a plus.

 

* Should be familiar with Test driven development/Test automation/CI/CD in using Azure DevOps. Should have software development experience using Agile methodology.

 

* Use of source control tools (preferably GIT) and building and testing code in a multi developer environment. Adaptable open minded and ready to change in a fast-evolving environment. Independent quick learner.

 

* Good communicator able to present complex problems/solutions to a non-technical audience.
