Job Description

The eCommerce Product Manager is responsible for the execution of the e-commerce platform as part of the Omnichannel approach to delivering best in class customer experience. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging eCommerce as a channel to increase lead generation and improve online conversion to drive growth for Olympus devices and products. As you build this channel out, you will also be agile in analysis of sales and user behavior online, create corresponding action plans, adjust the roadmap and partner with the Global eCommerce working group to share best practices in the execution of eCommerce initiatives.

Job Duties

* Execute the ecommerce strategy in close partnership with internal and external resources through the implementation of new technologies to complement the existing tech stack.


* Participate in the development of the short-term and mid-term e-commerce roadmap by leveraging customer personas and articulating their buying process.


* Partner with peers in Contract Administration to define the consolidated approach for eCommerce and EDI, identifying opportunities to create better buying experiences on both sides


* Monitor KPIs for eCommerce sales by segment and make recommendations in line with business strategies to ensure continued revenue and profitability growth.


* Manage product catalogs for eCommerce.


* Work with cross-functional team to develop content management system for master product information, including images, descriptions and measurements.


* Maintain portfolio accuracy in compliance with Regulatory, and through collaboration with Marketing teams.


* Create and manage promotional activities for the eCommerce channel.


* Through collaboration with Marketing and Pricing Council, create promotions such as promotional codes and sales offers to increase sales and expand customer base.


* Create content to increase both SEO and online conversion from page views.


* Develop an internal and external marketing plan to create awareness and use of the eCommerce channel.

Job Requirements



Bachelor’s Degree (with preference for focus in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related field), E-commerce/Digital Marketing certifications or equivalent education and/orexperience.


* Minimum of 3 years of experience in ecommerce in either B2B or B2C, preference for experience in building out an eCommerce channel from ground up.




Experience with digital, social media communications channels.


* Knowledge on other channels such as EDI, Punchout is a plus.


* Proven track record of lead generation.


* Understanding of how content should support the buyer’s journey.


* Experienced in Content Production, SEO and digital analytics.


* Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams.


* Medical device or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
