Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the QA system and quality improvements primarily in the area of, but not limited to calibration of equipment tools and jigs.

 

This position will be responsible for managing the performance of external calibration suppliers and internal calibration activities for the Bartlett Manufacturing, Bartlett Service and Repair and San Jose Service and Repair facilities.  Activities may also include but not necessarily limited to: (1) performing daily inspection and testing of medical instruments, sub-assemblies and parts (2) perform data collection and reporting activities assist with data entry and other daily departmental trending responsibilities (3) maintaining and performing material dispositions and claims functions (4) developing and maintaining defect reporting data collection and analysis (5) conducting routine and periodic product and process audits. 

 

This position will partner with onsite quality assurance management to utilize quality assurance technician and engineering personnel to successfully complete calibration activities.

Job Duties

 * Ensure completion of all calibration activities on time limiting production downtime. 

 

* Responsible for the accuracy, compliance, maintenance, and updates of the calibration system records. Including reporting to upper management on the ongoing status of calibration work.

 

* Coordination for both onsite and offsite calibration of tools jigs and equipmen, including scheduling with our contracted calibration supplier and arranging calibration for non-contract items.  

 

* Overseeing the shipping, receiving, inventorying and distribution of calibrated items.

 

* Complete of Non-Conformance Reporting for lost, out of tolerance or expired calibrated tools, equipment, and jigs.

 

* Manage periodic audits of calibrated items. 

 

* Create purchase orders and report invoices for calibration services.

 

* As needed, support normal quality assurance activities such as the inspection and testingof medical instruments sub-assemblies and parts.

 

* Additionally, this position will perform daily quality assurance responsibilities such as performing quality assessment and testing of medical instruments, sub-assemblies, and parts. 

 

* All other essential duties as directed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

* High school graduate or equivalent. Two-year Associate or Technical degree preferred.

 

* Minimum of 3 years of Quality Assurance experience or equivalent inspection experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

 * Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

 

* Strong knowledge of development methodologies and problem-solving skill.
